Non-Traditional Tidbits
Because of war rationing, brides in the 1940s made their wedding gowns out of parachute nylon.
Tissue paper on top of the invitation was used to block the ink from smearing. Today it is included as tradition.
Wedding rings are worn n the left hand, third finger because the belief was that there was a vein that
ran down that finger directly to the heart. It symbolized heartfelt love and devotion. |
